Interview with Gohar Yousaf young talented Singer

- I met a young talented actor, with a wide horizon, please introduce yourself for my readers:

- Well my Name is Gohar Yousaf iam 21 years old. I am from Pakistan a Lahori desi fun loving guy. Doing my Bachelors in Mass communication.

- You were surrounded by music since your early ages, please tell me, how did you choose this path, and when?

- I’ve inherited this particular skill from my father as I don’t belong to a proper and popular musically trained family.

I started singing in my school when I was in my 6^th grade our music teacher Mr. John wanted me to sing few lines for him... He was actually taking auditions for our school choir.

I used to be very shy that time. I was really nervous I just went to him in front of my class he said I know you are getting nervous just close your eyes and sing whatever you want to I was like okay :) started a patriotic song and he played his keyboards with me when I ended that particular song he said your selected! Your ON you have to be in our school Choir you deserve to be there I was shocked that time with a big smile on my face and said thank you sir :) The whole class appreciated alot and so Sir John as well... that moment was life Changing. I was like yes I did it yes :) came back home told my parents about it I was really happy that day  becoming part of my School choir was a big thing to me used to face 400 to 500 students daily of my school. My stage fear got vanished participated in numerous shows and competitions from school and

Learnt a lot of things, techniques how to perform and how to present the particular content in front of the audience... in my 8th Grade I got some friends who were like me so we used to Perform as a band as I was the lead vocalist that time got hell lot of appreciation as well. With the passage of time people suggested me to work more and I should pursue singing and make it my profession. And at the end of my 8th grade I made my own composition worked on it and in 2OO8 I released my Debut  Track Dill nay tujhey( home based version) and the response was huge.... when I started my College I officially started music did proper concerts with a passage of time achieved alot in my teen age. But there is a long way ahead I want more I need to learn more I want to achieve alot but at the same time I can now say that I have made my own image as well being in underground scene i am still struggling for my aims and goals and I believe with the Grace of God i'm gonna achieve them for sure. - I am very impressed by your story... you have great experienxes in your young ages yet.

- What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

- hmm a thing which inspires me that would be Guitar 4 sure Jal the band from Lahore released their song Aadat in 2004 I started playing guitar noticing Goher Mumtaz (lead guitarist and Vocalist) of Jal he is my inspiration over all..

- Lots of work needed to build a carrier and become famous, wich contains hard moments also...

- I have achieved alot but its a start for me there is long way ahead...

Obviously when an artist gets fans! Haters and leg pullers rise as well... I know how much i am. Capable of so never gave a damn about it!!! I always wanted support and prayers from my parents which I got so no problems! - Self-confidence and perseverance are very important, and the competitors should be to strengthen you.

- Who have you worked with?

- I have worked with (Karwan Band) (The Band Pavan) (Insomniac)...

- Is there any artist you want to work with?

- Aim desperate to work with Jal the band and Shruti Hassan from Mumbai (India)

- How do you see the work nowadays in your field easy or difficult?

- Its Quite difficult nowadays in Pakistan spreading your music to your listeners is really a difficult task we only had youtube for making our content easily accessible to our public. Youtube is banned from a long time young musician use social networking websites to promote their stuff as well... Shortage of electricity and our music Channels play Indian and international content more than their own... this thing can lead to career of a musician to and end. But fingers crossed!! I hope our music industry will grow more and more and I think If you’re passionate about your work u will do anything to achieve your goals God make ways...

 

- Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

- Yes, I do have and its Kyun Jioun its on youtube people can search it through Google as well. I made it in 2009 this particular song is based on a true story of a friend of mine... basically its about suicide bombing attacks... song showcases the feelings of those people who lose their loved ones in such pathetic acts. So yes kyun Jioun is really close too me and off course one of my own favorite project as well.

- What are your plans for the future?

- Well currently i'm working on couple of projects of my own and for few new upcoming artists as well. Will be making lyrical content for them. Next song is going to be a gospel song which will out in March! - Oh, these are wonderful plans, i wish you can accomplish all of them.

- Do you have any advice for the young generation who want come into  the field of media (Music/ television/ Film)?

- Advice would be that whatever you’re planning or u want to do in media u must have the knowledge about it get trained in your field because competition is so tough nowadays makes yourself as stronger as you can so you meet to the international level! 
Be yourself, believe in yourself always! Give all Credit to God be thankful to him and be down to earth as much as you can. - Its fantastic to hear someone in such a young age talking this wisely, i wish that your succes will be worldwide, and your dreams will come true.

Interview with Sharon William John Great Young Singer and Guitarist

My name is Sharon William John I started Music at age of 4 with playing tabla then i switched on to harmonium and with classical singing then i started guitars and i was running my own band The Last Fret but because of some reason we just broke up with that.

What and who did really inspire you to get into field music?

Well my Grand father Mr.Jackson Gill  inspired me to get into  the profession of Singing and there are many Ustad's like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ustad Ghulam Ali, Ustad Amanat Ali, Ustad Baray Ghulam Ali who are my sip of inspiration.

What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Well i didn't achieved any thing like success in my career well seeking for it with my work and hard work with full determination in short you can say that am a struggling. They are many problems to achieve success in any field such as  financial support and  parents support and etc etc…

Who have you worked with?

Well i had worked with many artists such as Shafqat Amanat Ali, QB, Ali Zafar, Ali Azmat and many more on concerts as a singer as a guitarist

Is there any artist you want to work with?

Well i wanna work with all the artist in sub continent who are superbly awesome. My dream is to work with AR Rehman and Hari Haran.

What are results of your achievements?

My results of achievements are not yet completed but i had achieved many things here to be as a professional but there are many things to be achieved yet such as name fame money etc etc…

How do you see the work nowadays in your field easy or difficult?

Well these days Work is bit difficult because ratio of competition level is very high so you have to prepared for everything you got.

Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

Well i had Worked on Neend na aye and many more covers of song which is my favorite project  yet.

What are your plans for the future?

My future planning is to a tribute The legends of music Such like Ustad Mehdi Hassan Jagit Singh Ghulam Ali Amanat Ali Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan album with Various artists.

Do you have any advice for young people who want become in the field of media (Music/ television/ Film)?

Well my advice for the youngsters with upcoming talents is to be professional in your field be honest with your music and work work hard and have good  acknowledge about music and just try to Learn learn more and more and then apply it in studio recordings everyone is good enough because we got that techs improvise it but we should be very strong as a live singer as a good music contender.

Interview with Mohsin Idrees Singer and Video Director

I am a Singer and Video Director.

You have a great profession as singer, how you started it?

When i was  in my college i did perform in a music show in my college. Since that time i felt that i can sing very well, In 2008 i professionally my music career started.

Who did really inspire you to get into field music?

I am a biggest fan of Kishore Kumar singer and i always inspire with him.

What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Many problems i had to  face in my music career because most of my family members did not like music and also other hand money is a big problem  in the music field. If you have a singing talent and if you have no money so you can not become a singer because making an audio & video is a major problem in this field when you will have the money then only you will record a song & make a video.

What are results of your achievements?

I got my music result in my career that the reason now i am running my own production company because before some years i did spent in my music career that time i was learning all thing and now i am running my music company.

How do you see the work nowadays in your field easy or difficult?

I see that music is a very difficult job not an easy but still i am ding face many problems.

Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

Yes in these days i have done my upcoming music video project and i was the singer,video director & editor of my music video.

What are your plans for the future?

Future wise i can say now that God gives a respect to every one if we fair with our any job and we did hard work in music field before many years and inshallah future will b bright.

Do you have any advice for young people who want become in the field of media (Music/ television/ Film) ?

I want to say my young brothers do the hard work and respect the parents firstly and when they will secure with our field they will be get every thing as they want................

Interwiew with Tausif Ali Khan the great Semi Classical Singer

Well, my name is Tausif Ali Khan i am a semi classical singer and belongs to Gwalior Gharana. The Gwalior gharana is the same gharana. Im from the 11th generation in that family. 

You have a great profession singing, how you started it?

From the time immemorial. I basically belong to a school of music known as Gwalior Gharana and this school of music remained open 24/7. I used to listen to my maternal grandfather Ustad Wazir Ali khan, my uncle Waheed Ali khan, my illustrious uncles Ustad Hameed Ali khan and Ustad Fateh Ali khan and their pupils. It was the time when I even couldn't speak properly but I used to sit with them and used to listen to their riyaz. I used to try to follow them in that riyaz (practice). And you will be surprised to know that the word which I learnt after learning the common words like mama and baba was malkaunse, I used to say that I will sing malkaunse (a raga). From this my love for music can be ascertained. 

What and who did really inspire you to get into field  music?

My first influence was my maternal grandfather, Ustad manzoor Ali khan, I used to listen to his recordings whole day out and used to copy his vocals which still is in my practice but is a herculean task as well. After that Ustad Wazir Ali khan,my younger maternal grandfather and my uncles namely, Waheed Ali khan. Ustad Hameed Ali khan and Ustad Fateh Ali khan kept on jogging my soul for good music.

What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Well many problems in its a long story so leave that :)

Who have you worked with?  

I am working on my debut album with some very talented musicians and producers like Adnan Daud khan(saraab) and DJ Yawar

What are results of your achievements?

Achievements  depends on your work how you  take it if you are hard worker then its easy if not then its hard to do because music is the language of the soul....... Just wanted to be in the hearts of my fans for long. Well i think people love my work and  that's the biggest achievements for me.

Biography (Tausif Ali Khan)

Tausif Ali was born on 16th October. He belongs to the oldest school of music, namely Gwalior Gharana. The Gharana which produced legends like Mian taan sen, Baba Banne khan, Pyare khan, Ustad Umeed ali khan, Ustad Ghulam rasool khan, Ustad Manzoor ali khan, Ustad Hameed Ali khan and, the taan sen of 21st century, Ustad Fateh ali khan (gwalior).

Tausif himself is the ninth generation in an un-broken lineage of world renowned vocalists. He started learning the art of singing from his uncle the illustrious Ustad Fateh Ali khan(Gwalior) from a very young age and started giving performances with the big names like Abida Parveen and Ustad Fateh Ali khan(Gwalior) himself. He also had an honour to render a performance before Malka-e-taranum Noor jahan in a private gathering when he was only seven.

Tausif Ali has a wide experience of great stages at a very young age. He has a very good control over his wide ranged voice. He basically is a Classical-based singer and renders khyal, thumri, kafi, folk and ghazals by putting his idiosyncratic touch in them which gives them a unique flavour. He also renders the musical genres which are in rage these days with equal ease.

Presently, he is working on his debut album in which he has used his experience of Classical music. He has fused it with different genres like rock, pop, techno, jazz etc to suite the taste of a modern listener. His debut album will be show-cased in the market by 2012. In which he has chosen a few things from the soil of our heredity but with a difference and some novel experiments.

Interwiew with Amit Ranjan Srivastava Great Young Musician

My name is Amit Ranjan Srivastava. 21 years old. I belong to Ranchi (Jharkhand) India. I did my intermediate from St.Xavier's College Ranchi and now doing b.sc from the same college. I am a singer and musician.. And music is a part of my life and can’t live without it....

You have a great profession singing, how did you start ?

First of all i am very thank full to God who given me art of singing as a gift.. and then my parents who are also very interested in music and their support and my father is my first guru also... I started singing when i was 5 years old. And because we were in a very small village so there was not any musical institute. So i could not taken  training of classical music. But according to my own practice i can sing well.

Beside singing do you play any musical instruments ?

I can play some instruments  like- harmonium, naal, banjo and tabla.

What and who did really inspire you to get into field  music ?

When i was in intermediate 1st year till then never  thought to make singing as my profession. And i did not know about the singing reality shows which are going on very much now a days. Reason was: we had not any dish tv or cable connection. When i was in 2 nd year i started watching a reality show called Sare Gamapa on Zee tv ..so that reality shows actually inspired me...

What problems did you face to achieve your career?

Well i think i have not achieved my career yet but wherever i am now, i faced so many problems. I know that i will have to face so many problems ahead in achieving my career....

Who have you worked with?

I have worked with a band called “Symphony Musical” group Ranchi and a very well known band called “Rajasthan Roots” of Rajasthan as a  singer and a group called “Aum the Existence on Stage” as music director in Mumbai.

What are results of your achievements?

Well god is been so kind to me..now a days i perform with various musical bands, in Gagarin Orchestras and many others as a singer and an instrument player too..

How do you see the work nowadays in your field Easy or difficult?

According to me its all depends on how much we labour....if we work harder it will be easy otherwise difficult....one more thing luck is also a factor behind it... if someone works harder and is not lucky then he can’t get success....

What are your plans for the future in your field?

In future if God blesses, i have have a dream to launch my own album and also to have my own band with  a great success.......
